Gunmen have kidnapped Barrister Elizabeth Arinde, the Head of Legal Department at Oke Ero Local Government Area, Kwara State.
NBA Ilorin Branch Confirms Abduction
The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Ilorin Branch, confirmed her abduction in a statement signed by Chairman S.M.H. Kosemani on Saturday.
According to the NBA, Arinde was kidnapped on Friday while traveling from Oke Ero to Ilorin with the council’s Deputy Permanent Secretary.
Victim’s Whereabouts Remain Unknown
The association revealed that all attempts to reach Arinde since the incident have failed. Her phone has been unreachable.
“Her contact line is no longer going through, and her whereabouts remain unknown,” the NBA stated.
NBA Urges Security Agencies to Act Swiftly
The Ilorin branch of the NBA called on security forces to intensify efforts to rescue Arinde safely.
They also appealed to the public to spread the news widely and pray for her swift return.
“We will continue to provide updates as new information emerges,” the association assured.
