Governor Yusuf Signs Four New Kano State Agency Bills Into Law To Drive Innovation And Growth

Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has signed four new bills to establish key development-focused agencies in the state.

Four New Agencies to Boost Development

According to a statement by his spokesperson, Sunusi Bature, the newly created agencies include:

  • Kano State Social Protection Agency (KASPA)

  • Kano State Signage and Advertisement Agency (KASIAA)

  • Kano State Information and Communication Technologies Development Agency (KASITDA)

  • Kano State Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency (KASMEDA)

Governor Reaffirms Vision for Modern Kano

Governor Yusuf called the new laws a major milestone in achieving his vision of a progressive and inclusive Kano State.

He said the agencies would generate jobs, attract investments, and ensure better implementation of government policies.

“Our mission is to build a strong foundation for a greater Kano,” he stated. “These laws are tools of transformation, not just policy statements.”

Laws Come With Enforcement Mechanisms

The governor warned that anyone who violates the provisions of the new laws would face serious penalties.

He emphasized his administration’s commitment to enforcing the rule of law and promoting accountability.

Agencies Reflect Push for Reform and Innovation

Bature added that the new agencies demonstrate Governor Yusuf’s resolve to modernize public institutions and improve governance standards.

He noted the agencies would enhance Kano’s role as a hub for innovation, entrepreneurship, and sustainable development.
