Fubara Set To Swear In Rita Oguguo, Frank Oviri, 6 Others As Rivers State High Court Judges
Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, will swear in eight newly appointed judges on Friday, September 20, 2024. The judges were recently recommended by the National Judicial Council (NJC).
This was confirmed in a statement signed by the Chief Registrar of the Rivers State High Court, David Ihua-Maduenyi, on Wednesday. The swearing-in ceremony will be held at 12 noon at the Executive Council Chambers of the Government House, Port Harcourt.
The newly appointed judges include Justice Frank Onviri, Victor Chinedum Ugoji, Godswill Vidal-Obomanu, Rita Chituru-Oguguo, Alatuwo Elkanah-Fubara, Barivima Sylvester Kokpan, Lesi Wifa-Adedipe, and Ibietelela Innocent Madighi Obu.
The Chief Registrar also advised the nominated judges to arrive at the venue by 11:30 a.m. for the event.
