Female Spell Quest Winner Aspires To Become A Lawyer
Precious Aluko, a student of Saint Anthony Secondary School, Ilorin, Kwara State, has emerged victorious in the inaugural Spell Quest 1.0, a literacy competition organized by Myadmissionlink Educational Consult Limited. For her exceptional performance, Precious was awarded a ₦500,000 cash prize.
Speaking after her win, Precious revealed her aspiration to become a lawyer, emphasizing that the prize money would help her purchase books and resources to support her dream of studying law at the university.
Themed “School No Be Scam,” the competition aimed to dispel the notion that education lacks value in Nigeria. In her emotional victory speech, Precious reflected on competing as a public school student against peers from private schools.
“When I saw other competitors from private schools dressed in jackets, I felt intimidated because of my background. But I stayed focused and confident, and my preparation paid off,” she said.
Kayode Olanipekun, CEO of Myadmissionlink Educational Consult, noted that 24 public and private schools participated in the event. He highlighted the competition’s role in fostering academic excellence and announced that all students from Saint Anthony Secondary School would receive three months of free access to the A1 Tutor App as part of the organization’s corporate social responsibility.
Olanipekun added that the event awarded multiple prizes to participants and reiterated the company’s commitment to supporting education in Nigeria.
