Faces Behind Fraudulent Crypto Scheme CBEX Revealed [VIDEO]

The identities behind the collapsed CBEX investment scheme have been exposed, as investigations reveal the roles of several key individuals.
CBEX, short for CryptoBridge Exchange, ran as a pyramid scheme promising huge profits. It collapsed in April, leaving investors devastated.
“I kept refreshing my dashboard. One day, it just vanished,” said a subscriber who lost over ₦4 million in the crash.
The scheme is estimated to have defrauded Nigerians of about ₦1.3 trillion. Many victims were lured with promises of unrealistic returns.
CBEX operated under the shadow of ST Investment Co., Ltd, owned by British national Harold David Charles. He was widely promoted in January as a financial expert.
In one media publication, Charles was praised for “building investor confidence and ensuring transparency through CBEX,” a claim now proven false.
According to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the scheme was never licensed to operate in Nigeria’s capital market.
“CBEX misled the public by posing as a legitimate digital assets exchange,” the SEC said Thursday. “It has now shut down and refused all withdrawal requests.”
Prominent Nigerian figures involved include Adefowora Abiodun, Oluwanisola Adefowora, Seyi Oloyede, Emmanuel Uko, and Victor Solomon. Their public events and seminars aimed to build credibility.

“I introduced ST CBEX because I wanted others to make money and live a good life,” Abiodun said at the Abuja launch.
In Lagos, they urged attendees to quit jobs and “earn a month’s salary in one day.”
CBEX’s branding even reached schools. At Maxfem International School in Lagos, a house was named after CBEX during a sports event.
Temitayo Oke, who sponsored the event, has since disappeared. “He paid N400,000 and vanished,” school owner Olufemi Oguntola said.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is currently probing CBEX, assuring victims of a thorough investigation.
“I just want justice,” one investor said. “This scam ruined lives.”
