Ex-Dunamis Pastor Abraham Daniel, Peter Enenche Released After Meeting Strict Bail Conditions In Defamation Case Against Pastor Paul Enenche

Former Dunamis Church pastor, Abraham Daniel, and Peter Enenche, brother of Dunamis International Gospel Centre’s Senior Pastor, Paul Enenche, have regained their freedom after meeting stringent bail conditions in their ongoing defamation case.
A source involved in the bail process confirmed their release on Friday, February 7, 2025.
The Magistrate Court in Wuse Zone 6, Abuja, presided over by Magistrate Emmanuel Iyanna, had earlier granted N2 million bail to both individuals. The bail conditions required two sureties of the same amount, with the additional stipulation that they deposit the original copies of their passports with the court.
The defendants, represented by lawyer S. M. Oyeghe, Esq., were granted bail following an application, despite facing charges of cyberbullying, criminal defamation, and other allegations filed by Pastor Paul Enenche.
According to prosecution counsel Francis Gabriel, their release followed the intervention of O’chidoma, His Royal Highness Odogbo John Abagaji.
Strict Bail Conditions include:
N2 million bail bond per defendant.
Two sureties of the same amount.
One surety must be a civil servant of grade level 15 or above.
The second must be a reputable Nigerian willing to guarantee the defendants.
Sureties must reside within Abuja, preferably within Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC).
Original copies of their passports must be deposited.
The defendants must sign an affidavit of good conduct and ensure they do not obstruct the investigation.
The court adjourned the matter to March 26, 2025, for trial.
Earlier, Pastor Paul Enenche’s two siblings, Enenche Enenche and Alexander Enenche, along with Pastor Abraham Daniel, were remanded at Keffi Custodial Centre in Nasarawa State following a court order.
However, on January 31, 2025, Pastor Paul Enenche dropped his cyberbullying and defamation case against his younger brother, Alexander Enenche, and former presidential aide, Reno Omokri, following public criticism.
Despite withdrawing those charges, Pastor Enenche filed a new First Information Report (FIR) on January 30, 2025, and vowed to continue prosecuting Abraham Daniel and Peter Enenche, who pleaded not guilty.
With the latest court proceedings, all eyes remain on the upcoming March 26 trial, as the case unfolds.
