Esther Walson-Jack To Resume As New Head Of Civil Service
President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Mrs. Didi Esther Walson-Jack as the new Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, effective August 14, 2024.
Tinubu’s spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale, announced the appointment, highlighting Walson-Jack’s extensive experience since her appointment as a Federal Permanent Secretary in 2017, during which she has served in multiple ministries.
“The new appointee will take over from the incumbent Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Dr. Folasade Yemi-Esan, CFR, who is due to retire on August 13, 2024,” Ngelale stated.
President Tinubu expressed his gratitude to the outgoing Head of Service for her dedicated service and urged Mrs. Walson-Jack to approach her new role with innovative flair, integrity, and a stringent adherence to the existing rules and regulations governing the Civil Service of the Federation.
