The Ekiti State Judiciary has officially disowned and vacated a controversial order issued by the Ikole Ekiti Magistrate Court, following public outrage and condemnation from the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA).
In response to the controversy, the judiciary has established a Panel of Inquiry to investigate the circumstances surrounding the order and ensure accountability.
Reaffirming its commitment to justice, fairness, and transparency, the judiciary assured the public that it remains dedicated to upholding the highest standards of integrity and judicial excellence.
The move follows the NBA’s demand for the magistrate’s removal and disciplinary action over the ruling. The Ekiti State Judiciary has urged the public to maintain confidence in the state’s judicial processes.
