On behalf of myself, my family, Firm, and Committee, I felicitate and share the joy of this season of sacrifice- Eid al adha.
The uniqueness of this Eid is that it is the re-enactment of the sacrifice by Prophet Abraham. The message of that sacrifice is profound and strikes at the core of human liberation from the shackles of evil, leading to unmerited righteous and peaceful human existence, in the now and hereafter.
To know about Prophet Abraham is to experience the Blessing of God Almighty, bestowed on mankind; wisdom, peace, patience, forbearance, sacrifice and faith, all of which virtues, we must strive to emulate and imbibe, for our personal and collective growth as humans and as believers.
It is my fervent prayer that all of us – regardless of creed and faith, grow in these virtues for the benefit of ourselves and of our nation, Nigeria.
