EFCC Arrests 22 Suspected Internet Fraudsters In Benin City
Operatives from the Benin Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have arrested 22 individuals suspected of involvement in internet fraud. The arrests took place on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at various locations across Benin City.
The operation was carried out based on actionable intelligence linking the suspects to internet-related fraud activities. During the raid, the EFCC recovered 10 exotic cars, laptops, and phones from the suspects.
The EFCC has stated that the suspects will be charged to court once investigations are completed.
