Ebonyi State A-G, Dr. Ben Uruchi Odoh Elected Chairman of Body Of State Attorneys-General

In a significant development, Dr. Ben Uruchi Odoh, the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice of Ebonyi State, has been appointed as the Chairman of the Body of State Attorneys-General. The decision was made during a pivotal meeting held yesterday at the National Judicial Institute in Abuja.

The election also saw Senior Ibrahim, the Attorney General of Kwara State, chosen as the body’s secretary, while Hauwa Abubakar, serving as the Attorney General of Borno, was elected Treasurer.

Dr. Odoh’s appointment comes as a recognition of his outstanding contributions to the legal sector, particularly his unwavering commitment to advancing restorative justice principles and implementing transformative measures within Ebonyi State’s legal framework.

During his tenure, Dr. Odoh spearheaded the establishment of crucial ministries such as the Public Defender, the Department of Gender-Based Violence, and the Citizens Mediation Centre, revolutionizing the state’s approach to justice.

His leadership is expected to foster greater collaboration among state solicitors general, paving the way for enhanced legal frameworks aimed at safeguarding the rights and dignity of all Nigerians.
