Dr. Okey James Ezugwu To Speak On Immigration Enforcement Trends At NILA Conference
Dr. Okey James Ezugwu, a distinguished expert with over 33 years in immigration and security, is set to address emerging trends and challenges in immigration enforcement at the upcoming Nigerian Immigration Law and Policy Conference. Dr. Ezugwu, a former Assistant Comptroller General of the Nigeria Immigration Service, is widely respected for his expertise in migration management, border control, and international relations. Currently a Senior Counsel at Chief Mike Ozokhome’s Chambers, Dr. Ezugwu also heads the Asylum and Refugee Rights Advocacy Foundation, advocating for the rights of migrants, refugees, and asylum seekers.
Dr. Ezugwu’s background is comprehensive, with academic qualifications spanning History, Law, and Political Science, including a Ph.D. in International Relations. His career highlights include roles as a historian, former journalist with The Guardian, and now an immigration attorney dedicated to public service and migration advocacy.
At the conference, Dr. Ezugwu will lead a session on “Emerging Trends and Challenges in Immigration Enforcement in Nigeria,” providing attendees with valuable insights into current issues and advancements shaping Nigeria’s immigration landscape.
