Defamatory Report Against Kano Lawyer B.Y. Gambo Removed By Online Platform

An online news platform, TG News, has retracted a defamatory and false report accusing Kano-based lawyer B.Y. Gambo, Esq. of fraudulent legal practice. The retraction follows legal threats from Gambo’s associates and peers, who condemned the story as baseless and defamatory.
Earlier, TG News published an article falsely alleging that B.Y. Gambo was practising law illegally, labelling him a “fake lawyer.” The publication immediately sparked backlash from Gambo’s former classmates at both his university and law school, who came to his defence and threatened legal action against the blogger. They criticised TG News for lacking journalistic integrity and standards.
In response to the swift and strong reaction from Gambo’s supporters, TG News quietly removed the defamatory article from its website, indicating that the claims were unfounded and lacking credibility.
The removal has been viewed as an acknowledgment of the false nature of the report, as well as an attempt by the online platform to avoid further legal consequences. Gambo’s legal team is reportedly still considering their options regarding potential legal action against the blogger.
