Court Remands Two Brothers Of Dunamis Pastor Paul Enenche And Ex-Church Pastor In Prison
A Magistrate Court in Wuse, Abuja, has ordered the remand of Mr. Enenche Enenche and Alexander Enenche, siblings of Pastor Paul Enenche, the Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Church, alongside Pastor Abraham Daniel, a former Dunamis pastor. The trio has been transferred to Keffi Custodial Centre in Nasarawa State.
The remand order was secured by the Nigerian Police Force from the Magistrate Court in Wuse Zone 6 after the three individuals voluntarily honoured a police invitation. They were reportedly detained in police custody until Monday evening when the court order for their remand was issued.
The arrests stem from allegations of cyberbullying and criminal defamation leveled against the individuals in connection with Pastor Paul Enenche. Previously, Enenche Enenche and Abraham Daniel were detained on January 7, 2025, but released the next day after an agreement was reached to resolve the matter amicably.
Despite this agreement, the duo, along with Alexander Enenche, was instructed to report to the Force Intelligence Department (FID) on January 10 and January 13. Upon their latest appearance on Monday, the three were detained before being taken to Keffi Prison following the issuance of the remand order.
Sources disclosed that the remand order, issued late Monday night, did not specify the name of the magistrate or the duration of their remand. Efforts are underway to address the matter, with a fundamental rights application reportedly set to be filed on Tuesday.
This development has sparked significant attention, given the high-profile nature of the individuals involved and their connections to one of Nigeria’s prominent religious leaders.
