Clooney Foundation For Justice To Offer 10 Scholarships To Women Lawyers In Sub-Saharan Africa
The Clooney Foundation for Justice is offering 10 fully funded fellowships to early-career women lawyers in sub-Saharan Africa through its Waging Justice for Women program.
The Inaugural Fellowship Program is an initiative to empower the next generation of feminist lawyers to advance rights for women and girls in their communities.
Clooney Foundation for Justice co-founders are Amal Clooney, a leading human rights lawyer and professor of law at Columbia Law School, and her husband George Clooney who has advocated for peace in African conflicts for nearly two decades.
CFJ’s Waging Justice for Women initiative aims to fight injustice against women through strategic litigation to reform discriminatory laws and increase accountability for gender-based abuse, and has received funding from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation
