CLASFON Summit: Partnership And Synergy Is Achievable With Lawyers Forums By Chidi Udekwe, Esq.

CLASFON through its Directorate of Anti Corruption, Rule of Law and Good Governance (DARG) has demonstrated that indeed a partnership and synergy is achievable with the Judiciary and ultimately the Nigerian Bar Association Abuja (Unity Bar) to achieve expected positive results.

The ongoing two days Judiciary Stakeholders Summit with the theme: “Promoting and Strengthening of the Nigerian Judiciary” by DARG is a novel event with so many Judges and Magistrates in attendance.

Other than the other notable objectives of the summit, it created an opportunity to appreciate members of the Judiciary for their hard work in office. I commend My Lord Justices and the other awardees who were awarded in today’s event with the “Integrity Hall of Fame Award”. It is believed that the awards will spur others to achieve more in the Judiciary for good governance in Nigeria.

No doubt, this feat can be achieved through other forums of Lawyers in Abuja. Law Forums serve as invaluable opportunities for members to network, build good relationships and facilitate solutions to issues within the legal profession.

The NBA works by Committees, hence the need to partner and drive home the struggles affecting the Legal profession through dedicated forums as CLASFON, FIDA, MULAN, AREWA LAWYERS, OTU-OKAIWU, OMO-EGBE ODUDUA, ENUGU LAWYERS FORUM and other relevant Lawyers’ Forums.

Consequently, harnessing the powers and efforts of these forums will create a crucial synergy for promoting and strengthening the Nigerian Judiciary as well as the unity we seek in the Unity Bar.
