Sallah Message By Y.C. MAIKYAU, SAN To Muslim Lawyers On The Conclusion Of Ramadan Fasting

“O you who have believed, decreed upon you is fasting as it was decreed upon those before you that you may become righteous” (Quran 2:183)

I solemnly join our Muslim brothers and sisters to give thanks and glory to the Almighty on the successful completion of the month-long spiritual exercise of fasting.

As we celebrate and feast to mark the conclusion of this holy month, I urge us to reflect on the essence of the holy month as decreed by none other than God, in His infinite mercies – that we may be Righteous.

The month of Ramadan has ended, but the essence of the month, being righteousness abides and we must continue to stay true to this, all through the year. We must continue to show love and share our blessings with our neighbors. We must also want for them, the good we want for ourselves. If we do these, we would have fulfilled the purpose of the Holy month.

May the Peace, Blessings and Love of Ramadan abide with us all and May God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria and grant us peace and prosperity.
