Chair Of NBA AGCPC Expresses Gratitude For A Remarkable 2024 Annual General Conference

Mrs. Oyinkansola Badejo-Okusanya, Chair of the 2024 NBA Annual General Conference Planning Committee (AGCPC), has extended her heartfelt thanks to all delegates, participants, and contributors for making this year’s conference an extraordinary success.

Reflecting on the event, Badejo-Okusanya praised the robust registration, vibrant participation, and invaluable contributions that made the conference truly exceptional. She expressed deep appreciation for the distinguished panelists whose expertise and insights sparked meaningful discussions on legal, national, and security issues, setting the stage for future innovations and legal reforms.

She also acknowledged the tireless efforts of those working behind the scenes, including the event planners, volunteers, security personnel, and the vast workforce of vendors. “Watching you all transform a bare ground into a world-class conference arena was nothing short of magical,” she remarked, noting that their dedication elevated the conference to new heights.

Badejo-Okusanya highlighted several memorable moments from the conference, including the world-class football and individual sports competitions, the enjoyable Health Walk through Lagos Island, the tree-planting ceremony, and the spiritual moments shared during the Jummat prayer and Thanksgiving service. She also recalled the grand Opening Ceremony, graced by the Vice President of Nigeria, Alhaji Kashim Shettima, and the keynote address by Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, GCON.

She extended her gratitude to NBA President Y.C. Maikyau, OON, SAN, for entrusting her with the leadership of an all-women team, making her the first woman to lead the flagship committee in 14 years. She expressed her deep humility and appreciation for this opportunity, noting that the experience is one she will always treasure.

Acknowledging any lapses, miscommunications, or mishaps that occurred during the event, Badejo-Okusanya offered her sincere apologies and took full responsibility, emphasizing that these challenges were met with courage and a commitment to success.

Finally, she invited all attendees to provide feedback through the Conference feedback form, with the aim of incorporating their recommendations into the Conference Report to be submitted to the NBA National Executive Committee.
