Call For Papers: Legal Essays In Honour of Emeritus Prof. Finine Fekumo
The Faculty of Law of the Niger Delta University, Wilberforce Island, Bayelsa State, is set to commemorate the birthday of its pioneer and founding Dean, Prof. J. Finine Fekumo, with a special publication of legal essays in his honor.
The ad hoc Editorial Board of the “Legal Essays in Honour of Emeritus Prof. Finine Fekumo” is inviting contributions from authors on topics related to Prof. Fekumo’s research interests, including Customary Land Law, Land Tenure Systems, Land Use Act, Compulsory Land Acquisitions, Compensations, and other relevant areas of law and practice.
Authors are encouraged to submit well-researched papers, case notes, and book reviews addressing contemporary and cutting-edge issues in legal education, litigation, practice, and procedure.
To maintain quality and standard, all submissions will undergo a double-blind peer review process. Authors are required to adhere to the following guidelines:
- Manuscripts must be original and compliant with copyright laws.
- Include a cover page with author(s) name, academic and professional qualifications, affiliations, contact details, and email addresses.
- The abstract should be concise, not exceeding 200 or 250 words.
- Manuscripts should be typewritten in Times New Roman, double-spaced, with 12 font size (footnotes – 10 font size), on A4 paper.
- Full papers should range between 7000 – 10000 words, while Book Reviews, Case Reviews, or Analyses should be between 2000 – 3000 words.
- Follow the NALT (Nigerian Association of Law Teachers) Uniform Citation Guide for referencing, with footnotes automatically generated.
- Submit manuscripts as email attachments to lawresearch@ndu.edu.ng by May 20, 2024.
