Eight out of the Nine travellers who were kidnapped by suspected Fulani Herdsmen on the Ikom-Calabar Highway on 14 November, 2022, have been rescued by security agencies.
According to CALITOWN, the whereabouts of the 9th victim was unknown as at the time of filing the report.
Recall that the Media was awash with a viral video of travelers who escaped the incident sharing their experiences.
The Commissioner for Police, had Yesterday ordered a tactical unit of the force to raid the area where the kidnapping took place which has now yielded positive results.
