BREAKING: Ayade Presents N276 Billion Budget Of “Conjugated Agglutination” For Year 2022

Cross River State Governor, Ben Ayade has presented for consideration, the 2022 appropriation budget estimate to the Cross River State house of assembly in Calabar

Governor Ayade who presented a budget size of N276 Billion said this year’s budget was lower than others because it is intended to focus on existing projects and not new ones.

Titled budget of Conjugated Agglutination the governor said the budget was aimed at “crystallising all other budgets into one”

According to the governor the budget attempts to “marry certainties with reality”

Of the N276 billion, the governor said N100 billion will be for recurrent expenditure, while N170 billion is budgeted for capital expenditure.

Governor Ayade who also hinted about his plans to set aside between 30 and 50 million naira every month to settle pensions and gratuity, requested the support of the house for speedy approval.

He said “it is my dream that all retirees get their gratuity and pensions because someday, we all will grow old”

Meanwhile, it was observed that the house members who refused to defect to the All Progressives Congress alongside with the governor were conspicuously absent at the budget presentation.
