Body Of Benchers Congratulates Chief Ibrahim Eddy Mark On Election As AfBA President

The Nigerian Body of Benchers has extended heartfelt congratulations to Chief Ibrahim Eddy Mark, a Life Bencher, on his recent election and assumption of office as President of the African Bar Association (AfBA).

In a letter dated November 13, 2024, and signed by its Secretary, Daniel M. Tela, the Body of Benchers commended Chief Mark’s dedication and contributions to the legal profession in Africa. The letter acknowledged his election as a recognition of his “glowing legacies as an outstanding advocate” and his unwavering commitment to the advancement of legal practice on the continent.

The congratulatory message read in part:

“It gives me great pleasure on behalf of the entire members and staff of the Body of Benchers to extend our congratulations to you on your recent election and assumption of office as the President of the prestigious African Bar Association. Undoubtedly, this is in recognition of your glowing legacies as an outstanding advocate and a testament to your hard work and dedication to the legal profession in Africa.”

The Body of Benchers also lauded Chief Mark’s contributions as a distinguished member of the organization, describing him as a devoted advocate for the legal profession in Nigeria, Africa, and beyond.

“We are certain that you will continue to exhibit your honor and wholehearted commitment in your service to the legal profession,” the letter concluded.

Chief Ibrahim Eddy Mark, an esteemed legal practitioner and member of the Body of Benchers, now assumes leadership of the African Bar Association, a prominent continental legal organization. His election is seen as a testament to his professionalism and visionary approach to advancing legal standards across Africa.
