Chambers and Partners (a reputable international legal services and practitioners ranking agency), at its 2022 Africa Awards held in London on Thursday, January 13, 2022 declared Banwo & Ighodalo, as the 2022 Nigerian Law Firm of the Year.
The prestigious Chambers awards recognise law firms and practitioners and their pre-eminence in separate jurisdictions and regions, and reflect achievements on a 12-month preceding year basis including outstanding work, impressive strategic growth and excellence in client service.
The five Nigerian law firms shortlisted and considered at the Africa 2022 awards were: Aluko & Oyebode; Banwo & Ighodalo; Jackson, Etti & Edu; Olaniwun Ajayi LP; and Udo Udoma & Belo-Osagie. Each year, Chambers & Partners selects the cream of the crop from amongst the top-tier law firms in each jurisdiction for scrutiny and consideration in the Law Firm of the Year Category; based on a transparent appraisal and assessment of the innovative, outstanding, and complex transactions worked on in the preceding year by each of the shortlisted firms. Banwo & Ighodalo emerged winner at the 2022 edition of the Chambers Africa Awards based on some of its key achievements in 2021, judging by the awards’ well established parameters.
