Anambra Fake Lawyer Sentenced To 90 Days In Prison, Admits He Studied Political Science
Obinna Orazue, a convicted impostor, has been sentenced to 90 days in prison for impersonating a lawyer and falsely claiming to be a member of the Nigerian Bar.
Orazue was arrested on June 13, 2024, at an open court in Otuocha, Anambra State, while attempting to defend a client. During his trial, Orazue admitted to studying political science at university, not law. Despite this, he had been posing as a licensed legal practitioner until his arrest.
Before his sentencing, Orazue pleaded for leniency, citing his five children and unemployed wife as reasons for the court to temper justice with mercy. However, the court found him guilty of impersonation and sentenced him to 90 days in prison.
