ALUMNI PRIDE: NLS Class Of 2003 Applauds Members’ Co-Option Into NBA’s National Executive Council

The Nigerian Law School Class of 2003 has extended its heartfelt congratulations to ten of its distinguished members who have been co-opted into the National Executive Council (NEC) of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) for the 2024–2026 tenure.

The members honored with this appointment include Hussaini Zakariya SAN, Omoyemi Akangbe SAN, Ikechukwu Maledo, Hauwa Yakubu, Afam Okeke, Mustapha Imam, Aminu Gadanya, Oluwaseun Ajoba, Abduwasiu Alfa and Basil Aguigwu.

The announcement was made following the NBA NEC meeting held on November 7, 2024, in Enugu, where a total of 150 distinguished members were co-opted to strengthen the council’s capacity and governance.

The President of the Nigerian Law School Class of 2003 Alumni Association, Kabir Akanbi, Esq, in a statement shared with The Metro Lawyer (TML), expressed pride in the achievements of the co-opted members, commending their dedication to the legal profession and their commitment to service.

“This recognition is a testament to your hard work, integrity, and the remarkable impact you’ve had on the legal community. We, your classmates and colleagues, are immensely proud of you. Your appointment is not just a personal achievement but a reflection of the excellence that defines our Class of 2003. We are confident that you will bring wisdom, passion, and innovation to the NEC and contribute significantly to the progress of the Nigerian Bar Association,” Kabir stated.

The Class of 2003 celebrates this milestone and stands in solidarity with its members as they take on this important responsibility to advance the legal profession.
