Ajeromi Ifelodun Local Government Allegedly Begins Renaming Streets To Reflect Yoruba Heritage

Ajeromi Ifelodun Local Government in Lagos State has reportedly begun renaming streets previously named after non-indigenes to reflect local heritage.

Among the changes, Imo Eze Street has been renamed Layiwola Oluwa, and George Street is now Daddy Showkey.

Other streets have been renamed to honor prominent Yoruba figures, including Yeye Iretiola and Ayoola Fatai. The initiative aims to strengthen connections to Yoruba cultural heritage within the community.
