African Bar Association (AfBA) Announces 2025 Membership And Renewals Process

The African Bar Association (AfBA) has opened its 2025 membership renewals and registration process, urging both new and existing members to complete their renewals online.

AfBA Secretariat Administrator, Faith Onyekperem, announced that all payments must be made through the official website, www.afribar.org. “There will be no manual Naira payments at the bank. Members must use the online platform for all payment categories,” she emphasized.

Membership and Renewal Fees

AfBA outlined the fees for different membership categories:

  1. Senior Lawyers (Over 7 Years Post-Call) – New membership costs €185.13, while renewals are €92.56 annually.
  2. Young Lawyers (0-7 Years Post-Call) – New membership is €92.56, with an annual renewal fee of €46.28.
  3. Student Membership – Initial registration is €46.28, with a renewal fee of €23.14.
    4. Non-African Members – New membership costs €462.82, while renewals require €231.41 annually.
  4. Bar Associations, Law Societies, and Corporate Members – Both new membership and renewals cost annually.
