NBA Gwagwalada Branch Members Turn Out Massively To Welcome Y.C. Maikyau To Their Monthly Branch Meeting

There was a massive turn out of Lawyers at the Gwagwalada Branch’s Monthly General Meeting which held Friday, the 29th of April, 2022.

The meeting which took place at Yesmin Event Centre and hosted by Friends of Y C Maikyau, had in attendance various Bar Leaders in the Branch, including the Pioneer Chairman of the Branch Mr. J. E T Amokaha, Past Chairman, A. A. Muhammad Snr. immediate past Chairman Chief Ifeanyi Anuogom, First Chairman of Gwagwalada Lawyers Forum, Chief S. M Attah, Prof. Josephine Agnonika,SAN, the first Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) from the Branch, Alhaji I. G Haruna, Etsu EK. Ebenezer Abadaki, Olubenga Ojo, Adamu Mohammed Wakili, Dr. Musa Omale amongst other notable members of the branch.

The learned silk, in his capacity as the Chairman of the NBA Welfare Committee and in company of some members of his Committee, presented 26 NBA NHIS- GIFSHIP cards to members of the Branch. The beneficiaries who received their various cards were indeed delighted for being part of the scheme. You will recall that under the Pilot Scheme of the NBA, 1000 financial members of NBA were to benefit from the scheme and the Olumide Akpata-led administration is keeping to its promises to the Bar.

After the presentation of the the NHIS Cards to the beneficiaries, the Chairman of the Branch Mr. Isah Abubakar Aliyu appreciated friends of Y. C Maikyau for their immense support and a past Chairman was invited to present an Award of Excellence to Y C Maikyau, for his contribution to the Legal Profession.

Branch members were excited for having the learned silk in their midst and expressed their gratitude to the learned silk forbeing a friend of the Branch.
In his remark, the learned silk congratulated the Branch on its Monthly General Meeting and indicated that the award was a call to do more and wished the Branch a fruitful deliberation.
