Afamefuna Okeke Extends Christmas Greetings, Condoles With Stampede Victims
Afamefuna O. Okeke, Esq., AICMC, the Immediate Past Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Abuja Branch, has conveyed his warm Christmas greetings to Christians across the nation, with special recognition to his colleagues.
In a statement issued on Christmas Day, Mr. Okeke also expressed deep sorrow over the recent stampede incidents in Anambra State, Oyo State, and the Federal Capital Territory. He extended heartfelt condolences to those who lost loved ones in the tragedies and prayed for the swift recovery of the injured currently undergoing treatment in hospitals.
“May the souls of those who perished in these unfortunate incidents find eternal rest,” he stated.
Emphasising the essence of the Christmas season, Mr. Okeke urged Nigerians to demonstrate love and compassion towards the sick, the needy, and the less fortunate, in alignment with the true spirit of Christmas.
He concluded with a message of goodwill: “Wishing you all a Merry Christmas.”
