UK-Based Nigerian Woman Accuses Ogun Monarch Of Marriage Scam Involving N65 Million, Gold Worth N120 Million

A UK-based Nigerian woman, Christy Oluwabunmi, has accused Oba Adekeye Adeyemi Olanrewaju, the Abepa of Joga Orile, Yewa North, Ogun State, of fraudulently luring her into marriage as part of a scheme to defraud her of millions of naira and valuables.
Oluwabunmi claims that the monarch manipulated her into believing he intended to marry her and provide financial support. She alleges that:
She was deceived into transferring N53 million electronically, handing over N12 million in cash, mobile phones worth N10.8 million, and gold valued at N120 million.
The monarch allegedly forged a divorce certificate to dissolve her previous marriage and facilitate his union with her.
He later attempted to lure her into a ritual in Ekiti State, where she was reportedly told she needed to sacrifice an eye or a leg for financial prosperity.
Upon realizing the deception, she demanded a refund, but he allegedly threatened her life, boasting of his influence and ties to cultists and thugs.
Oluwabunmi has filed petitions with:
- The Governors of Osun and Ondo States,
- The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC),
- The Inspector General of Police,
- The Director-General of the Department of State Services (DSS),
- The Chairman of the Ogun Council of Obas.
She alleges that the monarch has used the same fraudulent marriage scheme on at least three other women, preying on wealthy individuals.
Efforts to reach Oba Adekeye Adeyemi for his reaction have been unsuccessful, as he has neither responded to phone calls nor replied to follow-up messages.
