AfBA Commends Kenya’s Visa-Free Entry For African Passport Holders
The African Bar Association (AfBA) has applauded the Kenyan government for its decision to grant visa-free entry to all African passport holders.
In a press release issued on Monday, High Chief Ibrahim Eddy Mark, President of AfBA, hailed Kenya’s move as a significant step towards fostering African unity, economic integration, and regional cooperation.
“We receive with joy and commendation the news of the Kenyan government in granting visa-free entry to all African passport holders,” the statement read.
AfBA also urged other African nations to adopt similar policies, emphasizing that free movement across borders is crucial for the successful implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA). The association highlighted the economic, social, and diplomatic benefits of easing travel restrictions within the continent.
“The benefits accruable cannot be overemphasized as a path to positive growth of African nations in all ramifications,” the statement continued.
AfBA extended its gratitude to Kenya and its citizens for demonstrating progressive leadership in advancing continental integration.
This development aligns with Kenyan President William Ruto’s commitment to fostering Pan-African unity and economic cooperation, positioning Kenya as a leader in Africa’s free movement agenda.
