Professor Uju Ezenekwe To Address Emerging Trends In Nigerian Immigration Enforcement At NILA Conference
The Nigerian Immigration Law and Policy Conference is set to feature Professor Uju Ezenekwe, a distinguished Professor of Health and Development Economics at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka. With extensive expertise in migration studies and regional policy, Professor Ezenekwe will present on “Emerging Trends and Challenges in Immigration Enforcement in Nigeria.”
Professor Ezenekwe’s academic credentials span a B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. in Economics, as well as an MBA in Management Technology from the Federal University of Technology Owerri. Her research focuses on macroeconomic policy, project evaluation, migration and development, and health economics. Known for her contributions to both local and international conferences and her prolific publications, she has influenced migration policy discussions through her work with policymakers and practitioners.
Beyond academia, Professor Ezenekwe has held multiple leadership roles, including as the first female Head of the Department of Economics at Unizik, Associate Director of the Information Centre & Library at Unizik Business School, and Deputy Director of both the School of General Studies and the Centre for Migration Studies.
