Nasarawa State Attorney General Hosts NBA Chairmen, As FIDA Felicitates With Nuhu Egya On Recent Appointment
The Honourable Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice of Nasarawa State recently hosted a significant delegation at his office in the Ministry of Justice, Lafia. The delegation included the Chairmen of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Lafia and Keffi branches, the Chairman of the Magistrates Association of Nigeria (MAN), Nasarawa State Chapter, and the Chairman of the Law Officers Association of Nigeria, (LOAN) Nasarawa State Chapter.
This meeting followed the NBA Annual General Conference (AGC) held in Lagos and came in the wake of the recent appointment of Nuhu J. Egya, Esq., Notary Public and Chairman of the NBA Keffi Branch, as the Chairman of the Citizens Liberties Committee (CLC) by the 32nd President of the NBA, Mazi Afam Josiah Osigwe, SAN (Life Bencher).
The gentlemen also toured the Ministry of Justice, Lafia, where the building is undergoing repairs and reconstruction.
In recognition of this national achievement, Rabiatu Addra, the Chairperson of the International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA) Nasarawa State, along with the entire executive committee and members of FIDA, congratulated Barr. Nuhu Egya on his appointment. Her congratulatory message emphasized Barr. Egya’s consistent passion for the Bar and commitment to justice.
Rabiatu Addra, Chairperson of FIDA Nasarawa State, along with the entire exco and members, expressed their heartfelt congratulations to Barr. Nuhu Egya on his appointment as Chairman of the Citizens Liberties Committee. “Your appointment did not come as a surprise to us, judging from your track records and passion for the Bar you have always exhibited,” Addra stated. She also pledged FIDA Nasarawa’s unwavering support in working with Barr. Egya to promote justice and equity in Nigeria.
FIDA Nasarawa further extended congratulations to the newly inaugurated national executives of the NBA, thanking the NBA President for the opportunity given to one of their esteemed Bar leaders to chair such an important national committee.
