The visit, announced by Presidential Media Adviser Ajuri Ngelale, will include strategic engagements with top Chinese corporations and government officials.

During his visit, President Tinubu will tour key Chinese companies, including Huawei Technologies and the China Rail and Construction Corporation (CRCC), to expedite the completion of the Ibadan to Abuja segment of the Lagos to Kano high-speed rail line. He is also scheduled to meet with CEOs from ten major Chinese firms, managing assets worth over trillion across various sectors such as ICT, oil and gas, aluminium production, and seaport construction.

In addition to corporate meetings, President Tinubu will hold discussions with Chinese President Xi Jinping, where they will sign several Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) to enhance cooperation in areas like the green economy, agriculture, satellite technology, and blue economic development.

As the Chairman of the ECOWAS Authority of Heads of State and Government, President Tinubu will also participate in the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) Summit, where he will represent the region in discussions on economic cooperation, security, and other critical issues. The visit is expected to deliver both immediate and long-term benefits for Nigeria’s economy, reflecting President Tinubu’s commitment to tangible outcomes from international engagements.
