NBA AGC 2024: Lagos State To Host Special ‘Lagos Day’
The Lagos State Government is set to host a Special ‘Lagos Day’ during the 2024 Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Annual General Conference, which will take place on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at a specially constructed marquee within the Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS) in Lagos.
In a statement issued by the Lagos State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr. Lawal Pedro (SAN), the government expressed its enthusiasm for the opportunity to showcase the state’s rich heritage and innovative progress at one of Africa’s largest gatherings of legal professionals.
“The Special Lagos Day is a unique occasion to highlight the culture, history, and traditions that define Lagos, while also showcasing our achievements and future projects. We are proud to host this event and look forward to offering attendees an authentic Lagos experience,” Mr. Pedro stated.
This year’s NBA Annual General Conference will bring together legal practitioners, industry leaders, judges, technocrats, and entrepreneurs from across Nigeria and beyond. Lagos State intends to use the Special Lagos Day to demonstrate its cultural heritage, innovative projects, and significant accomplishments to a distinguished audience.
The highlight of the Special Lagos Day will be the Experience Centre, where participants can embark on an immersive journey through Lagos’ cultural landscape and development milestones. The Experience Centre will feature captivating cultural displays, including traditional music, dance, and the iconic Eyo masquerade parade. Exhibitions of historical artefacts and photographs will depict the evolution of Lagos from its early days to its modern incarnation.
Additionally, the Experience Centre will showcase the Lagos State Government’s key initiatives, achievements, and ongoing projects, providing attendees with a comprehensive view of the state’s dynamic progress.
