#EndBadGovernance: Protests To Continue Until Tinubu Meets Demands, Say Protesters
Protesters participating in the nationwide #EndBadGovernance demonstrations have vowed to persist with their actions until President Bola Tinubu addresses their demands. The protests, which have gained momentum across the country, highlight growing dissatisfaction with the current administration.
Speaking to journalists in Abuja, Damilare Adenola, Director of Mobilisation for the Take It Back Movement, criticized the government’s restrictive measures, describing the court orders limiting protests to specific locations as “an aberration.”
“Our presence here today is an announcement that we have been oppressed for too long,” Adenola stated. “We are saying to the president that unless President Bola Tinubu accedes to our demands, we will remain on the streets. We want to see the president on the street. During the protest, he was on the street.”
Ayoola Babalola, another leader of the Take It Back Movement, condemned the heavy security presence around the Moshood Abiola National Stadium as “an embarrassment to the nation.” He assured that protesters would not be intimidated by the show of force and emphasized their determination to continue pressing for change.
The protests reflect widespread frustration with perceived governmental failures, and the protesters are resolute in their commitment to achieving meaningful reform.
