BREAKING: Ohanaeze President General, Iwuanyanwu, Dies At 81
Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, the President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, has passed away. His son, Jide Iwuanyanwu, announced the death in a statement released to the press in Owerri.
“The Iwuanyanwu family of Umuohii Atta in Ikeduru Local Government Area of Imo State announces the demise of our patriarch, Engr. Chief Emmanuel Chukwuemeka Iwuanyanwu, Ahaejiagamba Ndigbo,” the statement read.
Chief Iwuanyanwu passed away on Thursday, July 25, 2024, after a brief illness. He was the President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide and the President of Owerri Peoples Assembly at the time of his death.
Chief Iwuanyanwu is survived by his wife, Lady Princess Iwuanyanwu, numerous children, and grandchildren, including Dr. Mrs. Nwadiuto Iheakanwa, Managing Director of Champion Newspapers. Details of the burial will be announced later by the family after due consultation.
