NBA General Secretary-Elect, Dr Mobolaji Ojibara Expresses Appreciation, Pays Tribute To Late Mentor
Dr. Mobolaji Ojibara, newly elected General Secretary of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), has expressed his profound gratitude and humility upon his victory. In a heartfelt message to his colleagues, Ojibara emphasized that the honor of his election belongs to everyone who entrusted him with this responsibility.
“I am deeply honored to serve as your General Secretary. This victory is not mine alone but belongs to each of you who have placed your trust in me to serve our esteemed association. Your confidence in my abilities and vision for the future is both humbling and inspiring,” Ojibara stated. He pledged to dedicate himself wholly to the responsibilities of his office, working tirelessly to uphold the values and integrity that define the NBA.
In his message, Ojibara paid tribute to the late Professor Muhammed Mustapha Akanbi, SAN, dedicating his success to the mentor with whom he started his journey six years ago. “Professor Akanbi was not only a paragon of legal excellence but also a beacon of ethical leadership and a mentor to many within our legal community,” he said.
Drawing inspiration from Professor Akanbi’s exemplary life, Ojibara committed to fostering an environment of transparency, inclusiveness, and professional excellence within the NBA Secretariat. He called for collective efforts to address the challenges facing the legal profession and to seize new opportunities.
“Let us work collaboratively to address the challenges we face and to seize the opportunities before us, always with the goal of advancing the legal profession and enhancing the welfare of our colleagues,” he urged.
