In his statement, Udekwe highlighted his personal experience working under Osigwe’s leadership. “I was appointed the Chairman of the Young Lawyers Forum, Nigerian Bar Association Abuja (Unity Bar), under Mazi Afam Osigwe, SAN, who was then the Chairman of the Branch. I can proudly state that it was under Mazi’s administration that the first-ever seminar/programme for Young Lawyers was held in Unity Bar,” he said.

Udekwe praised Osigwe’s numerous achievements and track record within the NBA. “Afam Osigwe, SAN’s track records precede him as far as the Nigerian Bar Association is concerned. Many first achievements are recorded in his name. Therefore, imagine the innovations he could bring if elected as the President of the Nigerian Bar Association.”
