NBA-SARC Western Zone Hosts Town Hall Meeting To Strengthen Lawyer-Security Agency Relations
The Nigerian Bar Association Security Agencies Relations Committee (NBA-SARC) Western Zone has extended a cordial invitation to legal practitioners within the zone for a Town Hall Meeting aimed at fostering a harmonious relationship between lawyers and security agencies in Nigeria.
Scheduled for Thursday, the 16th of May, 2024, the event will be held at the prestigious Agip Recital Hall, Muson Centre, Onikan, Lagos, starting at 10:00 a.m.
Themed “Fostering A Harmonious Relationship Between Lawyers and Security Agencies in Nigeria; A Constructive Dialogue by Stakeholders,” the Town Hall Meeting seeks to facilitate collaborative efforts between the legal community and security agencies. It aims to address challenges faced by legal practitioners in their professional interactions with various security agencies in Nigeria.
The NBA-SARC, a committee of the Nigerian Bar Association, was established to foster collaboration between the legal community and security agencies, promote a mutually beneficial relationship, and address professional challenges encountered by lawyers in their dealings with security agencies.
Representatives from key security agencies, including the Nigeria Police Force, Department of State Services (DSS), Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nigerian Army, Nigerian Immigration Service, and Nigeria Customs Service, among others, will be in attendance.
