DISCLAIMER: Friends Of Afam Osigwe, SAN Sue For Strict Adherence To ECNBA Guidelines
The Friends of Afam Osigwe, SAN, have sent out a disclaimer in response to the notice issued by the Electoral Committee of the Nigerian Bar Association (ECNBA) on April 1st, 2024.
In the disclaimer, they affirmed that their esteemed leader, Mazi Afam Osigwe SAN, has not authorized any form of campaign activities, whether directly or indirectly, for the forthcoming NBA elections.
They strongly urged all their esteemed colleagues and supporters to strictly adhere to the rules and regulations set forth by the ECNBA, stating that it is imperative to note that any form of campaigning is strictly prohibited until officially authorized by the ECNBA. They also noted that engaging in campaigning activities contrary to these rules, not only compromises the integrity of the electoral process but also undermines their collective efforts.
While sincerely appreciating members’ understanding and continued support, the notice asked all to collectively demonstrate their unwavering commitment to upholding the principles of fairness and transparency by respecting the guidelines laid out by the ECNBA.
