Lawyer Beaten Up By Trans Women Following Derogatory Remarks
In a surprising turn of events in Tamil Nadu, India, a lawyer found himself in a skirmish with a group of transgender women after allegedly making derogatory comments towards them. The altercation escalated to the point where police intervention became necessary to rescue the lawyer from the situation.
The incident unfolded at the Ramanathapuram district office, where an awareness campaign aimed at achieving 100% voter registration and turnout was underway. As the transgender women gathered at the venue for the event, the lawyer, passing by, reportedly made disparaging remarks towards them.
This led to a confrontation between the lawyer and the group of transgender women, resulting in the lawyer being seriously beaten up by them.. Subsequently, law enforcement officers intervened, rescuing the lawyer from the altercation and rushing him to a hospital for medical attention.
Upon learning of the incident, the district collector expressed his concern and vowed to take appropriate action against the lawyer for his behaviour.
