Isah Abubakar Zakari, Esq. Appointed Kano Electricity Distribution Company’s New Company Secretary/Legal Adviser
The Kano Electricity Distribution Company, KEDCO, has appointed Isah Abubakar Zakari, Esq. as its company secretary and legal adviser. KEDCO is responsible for distributing electricity between three states which are Kano, Katsina and Jigawa.
Isah Abubakar Zakari, Esq. is a career public servant with over 23 years of experience. He is a seasoned legal practitioner with 13+ years of experience who specialised in General Corporate Advisory to Litigation, Corporate Secretarial, Corporate law practice, Corporate Governance, Alternative dispute resolution, Contract Negotiation and Drafting, Conflict Management. Leadership, Negotiation and Service Management.
Isah Zakari is a highly accomplished professional, who holds a Law degree, Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resources Management, Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Diploma in Law and Masters in Conflict, Peace and Strategic Studies (in view). He is a proud member of prestigious legal organisations, including the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Chartered Institute of Human Resources Management (CIHRM), Fellow Institute of Professional Managers and Administrators of Nigeria (FIPMA) and Chartered Institute of Supply Chain Management (CISCM). He also attended numerous courses both nationally and internationally.
Within the public sector, Isah Zakari served as a member of numerous committees amongst which are Kaduna State Security Council sub Committee on investigation and prosecution, member of the Administration of Criminal Justice Monitoring Group of Kaduna State, Kaduna State Administration of Criminal Justice Drafting Committee, Multi-Sectoral Technical Working Group (TWG) on End Violence Against Children in Kaduna State, Administration of Criminal Justice Sub Committee on Prison Decongestion Kaduna State, Administration of Criminal Justice Monitoring Sub-Committee on Speedy Trial Kaduna State, among others.
Isah Zakari has previously worked with Niger Delta Power Holding Company Limited (NDPHC) as a Litigation and Advisory officer, Boarstal Microfinance Bank Ltd. as a company secretary and compliance officer, Nigerian Correctional Service (NCOS) as Head of Legal Unit.
