It Was For A Bigger Purpose – Fake Lawyer Who Won All 26 Cases He Handled Breaks Silence After His Arrest (Video)
Fake Kenyan lawyer, Brian Mwenda, who was exposed for practising without a license, has spoken up after his arrest.
Mwenda handled 26 cases before Magistrates, High Court Judges, and Court of Appeal Judges and he won all cases.
He was finally caught earlier this month. The unfolding saga took a new twist when philanthropist Mike Sonko publicly revealed his support for Brian Mwenda.
Sonko, well-known for his philanthropic activities, not only expressed his belief in Mwenda’s innocence but also announced plans to assist the young man in pursuing higher education at international universities, either in India or the United States.
Mike Sonko, addressing the ongoing controversy, emphasized the principle that Brian Mwenda should be considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
“Brian Mwenda remains innocent until it is proved in court that he is a fake lawyer,” he said.
In response to the growing support from Sonko and others, Brian Mwenda conveyed his gratitude to those who have rallied behind him since the news of his alleged legal impropriety broke and went viral.
He made a commitment to cooperate with the authorities.
In the accused “lawyer’s” words;
“I would like to convey my gratitude to the people who are supporting me and those that are praying for me. In the fullness of time, I will be able to clear this misunderstanding. I will also be able to prove my innocence and to provide the actual context to what is really happening. It should be inconceivable for anyone to think that I have all of these prowess to hack into portals.”
He explained that he cannot give the public the context of his court case because investigations are ongoing and it would be “prejudicial” to his case for him to speak to the media.
Asked what his future plans are, he hinted at going into politics.
He said: “It makes me feel privileged, lucky, and blessed and perhaps the next member of parliament for my constituency.”
