[PHOTOS/VIDEOS] Collection Of Conference Bags Gathers Momentum As NBA-AGC 2023 Draws Closer

More than 5000 conference bags have been distributed so far to members of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) who have registered to participate in the association’s Annual General Conference, holding in Abuja from the 25th of August to the 1st of September, 2023.

Statistics available to The Metro Lawyer (TML) reveal that between the 17th of August and today, the 19th of August, 2023 about 21 branches in the Northern region including Abuja, Keffi, Sokoto, Makurdi, Zaria, Suleja, Gwagwalada, Garki, Katsina, Bwari, Kaduna, Gusau, Lokoja, Barnawa, Minna, Asaba, Kafanchan, Dutse, Lafia, Kano, Ungogo, and Nyanya/Karu have collected conference bags for their branches.

This is in addition to 20 groups/law firms who have also collected their bags in that period.

The Metro Lawyer (TML) reports that the Mazi Afam Osigwe-led Conference Planning Committee had announced that the 1st distribution of conference bags will commence from 10am to 4pm on Thursday 17th and Friday, 18th of August 2023 at the NBA National Secretariat, starting with branches in Abuja and environs.

The Keffi Branch chairman, Nuhu Egya John when collecting and handing over the conference bags to his members remarked “Good Job, Conference Committee, we are proud of YC Maikyau administration!”

Meanwhile the Conference Planning Committee has urged lawyers to hurry and register for this year’s Annual Conference before the final deadline of midnight today.

After today’s deadline, intending conferees can only participate in the AGC via the virtual registration window.

Recall that the Chairman of the Conference Planning Committee, Mazi Afam Osigwe SAN, had at the press conference to unveil the conference website and logo, noted that there would not be any extension once the deadline for late registration lapses.
