Ganduje Swears In Kano’s First Female Ag. Chief Judge, Dije Aboki

Kano State governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has appointed, and swore in Justice Dije Abdu Aboki as the acting Chief Judge of the state.

A statement by Malam Muhammad Garba, the Kano state Commissioner for Information and Internal Affairs, that was made available to newsmen on Thursday noted that Mrs Abdu Aboki’s appointment by the governor was sequel to retirement of the earstwhile Chief Judge, Justice Nura Sagir.

Until lately, the new acting Chief Judge, Dije Abdu Aboki was a state High Court judge since 2006.

Mrs Aboki, who was called to Bar in 1984 graduated from the Faculty of Law, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria in 1983.

She began her career as state counsel in 1985 under the state Ministry of Justice where, a year later, she was appointed a Majistrate and rose to become a High Court judge in 2006.

She is a member of various professional bodies and held numerous positions.

The signed statement by Garba revealed that her appointment takes immediate effect.
