Onijagbo’s Demise: Maikyau Pays Condolence Visit To Prince Lateef Fagbemi SAN Over Father’s Death

The President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Mr Y. C Maikyau, OON, SAN has commiserated with the people of Ijagbo over the death of their traditional ruler, the Onijagbo of Ijagbo, His Royal Highness Oba Salawudeen Olagunju Adeyeye Fagbemi (Obembe II).

The revered monarch who passed on at the age of 110 is the father of legal luminary, Prince Lateef Fagbemi, SAN.

Maikyau who was received by the elder brother of Prince Lateef Fagbemi SAN, in his condolence message said “I have no doubt that our late father is one of the greatest souls that sojourned this planet earth because of the children that he has left behind so we are here to commiserate with the family on behalf of the entire legal profession in the country which I have the privilege of leading at this time as its President. We extend our condolence to the family and pray for the repose of the soul of our late father. We also pray to God Almighty to grant the family the fortitude to bear the loss.”

The Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Offa branch, Dr B. L Ijaiya thanked the President for the visit, extolled the virtues of the Paramount Ruler and offered prayers to the family of deceased.
