My First Encounter With YC Maikyau, SAN By Haruna Yelma Past NBA Gombe Chairman

During my tenure as the antecedent Chairman of the NBA Gombe branch, we were bereaved of an illustrious member (the late Rotimi Abayomi Williams). Consequent on which my administration sought to obtain the death benefit pioneered by the Olumide Akpata’s regime to ameliorate the agony of the bereaved family & in solidarity provide them with reassurance that they were not alone, as the NBA remembers its own.

For the umpteenth time, via my then secretary G.R.Ayuba we applied again and again to secure the grant to no avail. Then I was advised to contact the chairman of the NBA welfare group who turned out to be the Learned Silk YC Maikyau SAN.

Upon cognizance of our plight, YC was visibly smitten with grief & stricken with empathy. Though he knew not the late Rotimi, he familially commiserated with us, and the one million naira death benefit we couldn’t secure in months, we received same in less than a week of his intervention.

This is the kind of leader YC Maikyau is!
