Auta Nyada Congratulates The Unity Bar On Her Law Week

A past Secretary of the Young Lawyers Forum (YLF) Governing Council and Member, Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) National Welfare Committee, Auta Nyada has congratulated the Abuja branch (Unity Bar) of the Nigerian Bar Association on the occasion of her law week.
Read his message below:
I am humbled, pleased and elated at the opportunity to make my views known in this year’s UNity Bar Law Week.
Law Weeks are essentially put together to enhance capacity building for colleagues under a relaxed atmosphere, and it is against this background that I congratulate the Leadership of the UNITY BAR and the Planning Committee for keeping up with the age old tradition of our noble profession.
The theme of this year’s Law Week: “Credible Electoral process, Rule of law, Leadership and Good Governance”, is apposite and clearly reflects that the Leadership of the Unity Bar is very much alive to the real issues plaguing our Association and indeed our dear Country Nigeria.
The fact is that our profession places very challenging responsibilities on us to champion the cause of the common man and the oppressed against exploitation, oppression and illegality.
It is beyond argument that we live in times when good governance is in short supply and our electoral process is far from efficient and as such it is my hope that this year’s Law Week will interrogate the electoral process we have at the moment and provoke our thoughts to possible solutions for the myriad of challenges our dear country is faced with, so that, at the end of this year’s Law Week, we will live up to our calling, and become trail blazers.
We must ensure that in courageously carrying out our duty to our Country, we do not also forget our duties to the Profession, Courts and the public in facilitating
Credible Electoral process, Rule of law, Leadership and Good Governance.
These noble duties are, no doubt, challenging but with determination, strength of purpose and unwavering faith in promoting the good cause of humanity, victory shall be ours.
I thank you once again, for the privilege of saying a few words in this year’s law week. I warmly wish you impactful deliberations
God bless the Unity Bar;
God bless the NBA;
And God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Auta Nyada, Esq.
Member, NBA Welfare Committee.
