“When You talk About WELFARE, INTEGRITY, RULE OF LAW, It Is YC!”- Immediate Past Governor-General Of The Eastern Bar Forum (EBF), S. Long-Williams Represents Y. C. Maikyau, SAN At The EBF Quarterly Meeting Held In Calabar
Y. C Maikyau SAN was represented at the EBF quarterly meeting by the immediate past Governor-General of the Forum, Mr. S. Long-Williams.
In delivering the goodwill message of Mr. Maikyau to the Governing Council, Members, and NBA Calabar Branch who were the hosts of the meeting, Mr Long-Williams referred to the program of events where the goodwill message was captured, thus:

“It is with great excitement that I extend my warm felicitations to the Eastern Bar Forum (EBF) and her members on this august gathering – the occasion of her second Quarterly Meeting for the year 2022, holding on 3rd – 4th June in Calabar, Cross-River State.
I am always delighted to identify with this great body which has become a strong voice in the region, in our great Association and in the entire Nation.
The EBF has since inception remained devoted to her aims and objectives and has continued to maintain her commitment to the welfare of her members, while providing the platform where partnerships for development at all levels are forged.
Sincerely, there is a lot to emulate from this great body.
I applaud the leadership of the Forum, past and present, for their commitment over the years which have kept the vision burning. I commend the current Governor and members of the Executive Committee for their dedication in steering the affairs of this great body.
May I also congratulate the entire members of the EBF on the successful hosting of this meeting, while expressing the hope that you will rise herefrom with fresh resolutions that will improve the wellbeing of members while driving the Forum, as well as our great Association, to greater heights.
Finally, it is my prayer that at the end of the meeting, the good Lord will grant you journey mercies back to your various destinations. I wish you successful deliberations.

Mr. Longwilliams added by saying “when you talk about WELFARE, it is YC; when you talk about INTEGRITY, it is YC; when you talk about RULE OF LAW, it is YC; when you talk about defending the rights of all Nigerians, it is YC!”
He therefore urged members to be YCFIED adding that YC would move the bar forward; he said the Bar cannot afford to go back to Egypt.
He concluded by saying that YC is coming and will have a bolder, bigger and better Bar. His speech was greeted with a rousing ovation from the members of the Forum.
